Ich bin freiberufliche Tonfrau und in Köln zuhause. Ich gestalte seit 1996 Ton für Filme, am liebsten für Dokumentar­filme und Dokumen­tationen – aber auch für szenische Produktionen und für Werbe­filme. Ich arbeite aus Überzeugung mit meiner eigenen Ausrüstung. So kann ich wissen, dass alles stimmt, das Material unbe­dingt einsatzfähig und technisch tatsächlich auf dem neusten Stand ist.

Falls mein eigenes Equipment für ein Projekt mal nicht das richtige ist, miete ich sinnvolle Ergänzungen an.

Ich habe schon in vielen Ländern der Welt gearbeitet und reise gern. Neben meiner Mutter­sprache Deutsch spreche ich fließend Englisch und habe Grund­kenntnisse in Französisch und Italienisch.

Ich arbeite schnell und flexibel, bin ein Teamspieler. Ich habe im französischen „Venise Verte“ Kühe schwimmen sehen, eine Zeitlang einen russischen Schachweltmeister begleitet, Atmos in den Rocky Mountains aufgenommen und Equipment an entfernte Orte getragen. Für guten Ton bin ich auch schon sehr geduldig durch tiefen Schlick gelaufen – oder habe meine trockene Hose gegen eine gute Gewitteratmo „eingetauscht“ (aber regenfeste Kleidung habe ich auch).

Ich habe eine Fahrerlaubnis und ich habe eine BahnCard.

I am a freelance sound mixer and sound recordist based in Cologne. I have been recor­ding, mixing and creating sound for films since 1996. My main focus is on documentary features and documentaries, but I have also done successful work for short films and commercials.

I prefer working with my own equipment, as then I know that everything is ready for use and technically up to date. When my own gear is not appropriate for a task, I rent addi­tional equipment with my client’s agreement.

I have worked in many countries worldwide and I love to travel. Besides my native language, German, I speak English fluently and I have a basic knowledge of French and Italian.

I work fast and flexibly, and I consider myself to be a teamplayer. While working and on my travels, I have had the chance to see swimming cows in the “Venise Verte“ in France, accompanied a Russian chess champion for a time, recorded sound in the Rocky Mountains and carried equipment to remote places.

In search of a good sound I have walked through deep sludge patiently, and I have “traded in“ my dry clothes in order to capture thunder and lightning on a track (I do own water­proof clothing, though).

I have a driver’s licence and I have a railcard.
